Blandford Forum is an elegant Market with an interesting architecture. This town is located in the north Dorset district on the beautiful River Stour. In 1731, a fire has destroyed almost the whole city leaving few antiquities including the Old House built in the early 18th century, Dale House built in 1689 and the beautiful Almshouse built in 1682. Blandford Forum was reconstructed in classical Georgian style after the fire. Amongst other points of interest, Blandford Forum features the church of St Peter and St Paul and a fine town hall. The church has a magnificent square tower and Ionic columns inside. The area surrounding Blandford Forum is endowed with rich lands. In this area, visitors will find many handsome houses and cottages with thatched roofs. Blandford Forum is quiet and elegant and well worth a visit.
