| Bugibba | |||||
Until a few short years ago Bugibba and its extension Qawra were a rocky and barren headland, yet not without its points of interest; at its tip is a small coastal battery of the Order which surrounds an older watchtower.Further inland is a small prehistoric temple, in a poor state of preservation; this temple is unique in that it was decorated with carvings of fish (these bas-reliefs are now preserved in the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta).
Bugibba and Qawra are now one of the most popular summer resorts to the north of the island.
