Huế is famous for its monuments and architecture. This North central Vietnamese city is situated on the banks of Sông Hương. Huế is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its citadel occupies a large walled area on the north side of the river. There are many other monuments in this Vietnamese city including some emperors’ tombs and a Pagoda along the River. Hue Museum of Royal Fine Arts features a collection of various artefacts of the city.
