Constituting 70 percent of Denmark, the Jutland Peninsula is this flat country's most rural province. Jutland is renowned for its camping, hiking and remoteness. With about 18 hours of sunlight a day in the summer, it is a great vacation spot.Aarhus is the main city of the Jutland peninsula with approximately 300.000 inhabitants.The Jutland region is the central part of Denmark. To the north, wind mills and sea front sceneries with 10 miles of beaches between Blokhus and Lokken and two famous seaside resorts. The northernmost town of the peninsula, Skagen, is where you will find the moving dunes that slide to the east by 26 to 32 feet every year. The sea here is turbulent and various lighthouses guard it.
