Lebanon is located in Western Asia on the Mediterranean Sea shore. This country has a rich history and can be found at the crossroads of the Mediterranean Bassin and the Arabian hinterland. Most of Lebanon territory is mountainous terrain except the coastline and Beqaa Valley. The country has a moderated Mediterranean climate. Beirut, Lebanon’s capital is considered as one of the major centre for modern Arab thought. It houses the National Museum which is the country’s principal archaeology museum.
