Modica is a Sicilian city located in the Iblean mountains. It is part of UNESCO Heritage Sites. Modica features several bridges including the largest in Europe. This bridge joins the new and the old town. Modica castle consists of an 18th century tower and a clock. This city has been stroked by disasters: earthquakes in 1613 and 1693 and floods in 1833 and 1902. The last administrators of Modica have focused at preserving the city’s heritage.
