Zealand is the largest of Denmark islands. It is connected to Sweden by the Oresund Bridge and to Funen by the Great belt Bridge. A part of Copenhagen, the country’s capital, is located on Zealand. The Island also features cities such as Roskilde and Elsinore. According to Norse mythology, Zealand was created by a goddess named Gefjun. She removed a piece of land and transported it to Denmark where it became the Island of Zealand.
