Znojmo is a charming town in South Moravia that as been prosperous throughout its entire existence. As the result of a rich history, this city houses many monuments. A castle and a town brewery were constructed in a stronghold at the confluence of the Dyje River and the Granisky Creek. Today, the castle is used as a museum showing the history of South Moravia. The town is dominated by the pilgrimage cathedral of St. Nicolas with an observatory points offering beautiful views of the Dyje Valley. The region of Znojmo produces famous Moravian wines. One will be able to sample delicious wines and tour the area since wine and tourism programs are on offer.
